Privacy: Your Census, Your Privacy

Did you know? The Census Bureau CANNOT share your information ANYONE – even your landlord or other government agencies. In fact, it’s illegal! Why do we bring this up? It’s because responding honestly about the number of people living at your address is important, and we know that most individuals are more comfortable with sharing said information when they are guaranteed their privacy. Thus, when you take a mere 10 minutes to fill out the 2020 Mississippi Census, there’s no downside!

Filling out your census is now easier than ever with multiple participation options available. It’s pivotal for our state that all Mississippians are accounted for during the 2020 Census in order to ensure our federal funding for the next decade.

Your Privacy is Paramount to Us

Like we previously stated, by law, the Census Bureau cannot release any identifiable information about you, your home, or your business, even to law enforcement agencies. That’s protected under the Title 13 of the U.S. Code. That means that any and all information you disclose when filling out your 2020 Mississippi Census will be completely confidential. Your privacy is paramount to us, and the more accurate our Census is, the better it is for our state. 10 questions, 10 minutes, 10 years of impact. Learn more at MSCensus2020.org
