The Mississippi Library Association hopes the life of free Wi-Fi hotspots will allow those in need to access wifi during the quarantine
The Mississippi Library Association has recently created an interactive map of free Wi-Fi hotspots across the state. The association has compiled the list to assist those in need of Wi-Fi due to recent shutdowns of libraries, colleges, and other public resources where individuals normally access it for a variety of tasks that remain important no matter the outside situation, such as completion of homework or submitting applications.
All of the Wi-Fi hotspots listed on the interactive map are accessible from outside in the parking lot, allowing individuals to make free use of the Internet while acknowledging requirements for social distancing practices by remaining within the safe confines of their vehicles.
Click a location on the map to see the address, hours of availability, and password, if one is required. If you know of an additional Wi-Fi hotspot that should be added to the list, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
